Since I was young growing up in Finland I’ve always loved animals. I grew up in a small agriculture town and spent my days in a nearby stable caring for horses from the race track and other farm animals. Later I worked at the stable mucking, feeding and helping out on summer jumper camps to be able to fund my horse hobby and used the money I earned to take lessons in English dressage and jumping.
My other passion marine life took me from Finland to Oahu were I attended Hawaii Pacific Universities Marine Biology Program. I ended up graduating with a BA in Tourism as I realized that when living in Hawaii, we are surrounded by Marine Life.
My love for horses drew me to work as a Horseback Trail Guide on both Oahu and Maui. I worked for big and small ranches as a horseback trail
guide including; Kualoa Ranch on Oahu, Makena Stables and I helped to ride the younger/greener horses at Thompson Ranch on Maui. The rich culture of the Paniolo was fascinating to me as I found it was deeply connected to the old traditions and values of the Hawaiian culture.
My goal is to always keep learning about horses and to become a better horsewoman. Along the way I have met great mentors that I look up to till today.
I began working as a full-time Pet, Equine and Farm Animal Sitter in 2018 and now have the opportunity to share my love of animals with my clients and pet owners all over on the island of Maui
I pride myself on the high-standard of care and services that I offer. I have a number of clients who have become more like family, and customers who consider me to be an integral member of their family. I hope I get the chance to meet your lovely pet soon.
